The Lighter Side

This is a letter that my drill team is sending to the general public, and I'd like to post it here just in case anyone is a horse lover that would like to help out the horses that need it as well as children in need.

I am writing in hope that you will be able to help me raise funds for our rescue horses. We are a team of women “Cowgirl Spirit Rescue Drill Team” who have pledged our hearts and resources to saving horses.
As we have all seen on recent news coverage the sluggish economy is causing horse owners to abandon their horses. The rise in fuel and hay prices has set a trend across Washington State to abandon these horses.
We are selling quilt squares to help raise funds for our rescue horses. We are asking you to purchase one or more of the three different squares for our quilt. The finished quilt will be donated to Children’s Hospital.
Each plain square sells for $15.00
A square with picture of a rescue horse is $25.00
The center Square is $50.00
We are a non profit origination with a 501 (c) 3 status, so all contributions are tax deductible
Please be as generous as you can afford. If you can not give at this time please help spread the word to friends and family. We would be most appreciative.
Your generosity will be recognized in our news letter found on the web at www.csrdt.org . The finished quilt will be displayed in the news letter. We are always looking for more members, volunteers and supporters. Please check us out.
